Work, a place to thrive or struggle?

November update from Simone

As a high performer the workplace has been a rewarding, thrilling and awful place for me. I have epic tales that are simply the result of a lack of understanding regarding my differences, and of how to get the best out of me. For years I turned these epic tales into experiences of shame and regret.

The knowledge  of how to get the best out of me at 24, was not there.
So, workplaces took the best, rejected the worst and I flipped-flopped between being seen as a wunder-kind or a menace.

Workplaces need diversity, not just in our colour, sex and age, but also in our traits and ways of thinking.

Imagine if workplaces became a training ground for us humans to learn how to get the best out of each other.

To do this, they must understand how to get the best out of all people, not just the norm.
