Genius You turned TEN this year!

August Update from Simone

That's more than 3,000 days that my mind has been obsessed with creating this programme. That's over 400 people that I've worked with and 17 iterations of the process that I've developed. All with the same purpose – to create a programme that allows people to be as brilliant as they wish.

And it's working, if texts like this one that I received, are anything to go by:

"I've come a long way in a year. I was pretty much rock bottom at the start. Now I am a superstar!! Thank you - x".

But it's also about failing a whole heap too, and learning that failure is simply the opportunity to fix something.

I am proud. I love it when a new client signs up, and I think, "Gosh, you're lucky that this programme is here for you because it was really hard to build but you can access it and very quickly get all the benefits."

But I did it, and thank goodness, because I needed to develop this programme for myself and my family.

I reflect on who I was in May 2013, when I had no idea I was compensating for a neurological disorder. I desperately needed a process to harness my mind, because not being able to was constantly de-railing my life. I had no idea, and I attributed many of the problems I had to character flaws.

So, in my first-ever newsletter, I want to talk about that.

My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD three years ago. To help her, I went deep diving into the topic, and as so often is the case, a year later I was officially diagnosed.

And then, what a year.

The creation of Genius You meant that I had a wonderful understanding of how to harness and get the best out of my mind. Adding an ADHD diagnosis to the mix, and a treatment plan that you can then implement, well, I feel like I learnt how to climb Everest, and then someone said, 'hey do you want a whole lot of equipment to help you do that again? Yes, please!'

Now, it’s time to start sharing my experience with others and in doing so, make other people’s journeys to the top a bit easier.

Stephen Martin, from Virtual Innovation www.virtualinnovation.co.nz, has been doing this for a lot longer for me. Big shout-out to him. His podcast, The Truth about Dyslexia and all the work that he does is commendable, because it means for the ones who are following behind, Stephen has already forged a path.

Here’s a link to his podcast  that I recently was on as a guest, and an article that I wrote about how to face this challenge with as much equipment and knowledge as possible.

Anyone that is facing this climb, or thinks they may need to, get in touch!

Kindest,
Simone
